Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup margarine \ 225g
- 1/2 cup butter / butter
- 1 cups light brown sugar
- 1 cups white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup M & M’s

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F (163C).
2. Line cookie sheets with baking paper.
3. cream together margarine, butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth.
4. Beat in the eggs one at a time then stir in the vanilla.
5. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and rolled oats; stir
into sugar mixture.
6. Mix in chocolate chips and M&M's.
7. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
8. Bake for 10 to 11 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are golden.
9. Recipe yields: abt. 3 dozen.
* If you like chewy cookies, take them out before they look done.
