German Spaetzle (also known as Dumplings)

Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 2-1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
1. Beat eggs lightly
2. add milk and water.
3. Place sifted flour and salt in a bowl
4. gradually stir in the egg mixture, until the right consistency has been reached.
5. Add more flour if a stiffer dough is desired.
6. Bring about 4 qts. of salted water to a rapid boil
7. and you are ready to drop in the spaetzle dough.
8. Cook for about a minute, stirring constantly.
9. Strain and remove excess water by transferring to a paper towel.
