Marble Squares

  • 1 Cup butter
  • 1/2 Cup sugar + 4 Tbsp
  • 1/2 Cup brown sugar +4 Tbsp
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs

  • 2 Cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Cup Pecans
  • 1 Cup chocolate chips

Directions:
    1. Pre heat the oven to 350F (176C).
    2. Grease 13x9x2 pan
    3. Mix butter, sugars and vanilla together.
    4. Beat in eggs.
    5. Blend in flour, soda and salt.
    6. Mix in nuts.
    7. Put in pan, place chocolate chips on top and put in the oven for 1 minute.
    8. Remove and knife through dough to marblize.
    9. Bake for 30 minute.
    10.Cut into squares.
Notes:
*** This is a dish that mother made often to take to church gatherings. It was always gone in a hurry.... never lasted long enough....
