Ingredients:
- 4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 Large can evaporated milk - (14 1/2 oz.
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 pint jar of Hip O Lite (marshmallow cream)
- 2 pkgs (6oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped(coarsly cut) pecans or walnuts - optional

Directions:
1. Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter or margarine in a medium, heavy-duty saucepan.
2. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
3. Boil stirring constantly for 9 minutes.
4. Remove from heat.
5. Stir in marshmallow cream, chocolate chips, vanilla and nuts.
6. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted.
7. Pour into a foiled-lined 8-inch square baking pan.
8. Chill until firm.
9. Yields: 3 dozen pieces

Notes:
Marshmallow cream was a real treat, did you notice the brand name, Hip-O-Lite? All I know about
that name is that it was advertised in Good Housekeeping - October 1948. We learned to use it in many sweet treat recipes.
