Ingredients:
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cups granulated sugar
- 1 TBSP butter or margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups raw spanish peanuts(see note)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
1. Combine corn syrup, sugar, butter and salt in a saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar is disolved.
2. Add peanuts and cook, stirring, 15 to 20 minutes. or until the peanuts are light golden brown. 296 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
3. Remove from heat and stir in soda.(Mixture will foam)
4. Spread quickly on well-greased baking sheet. When cool, break in pieces.
5. Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.

*** RAW (unroasted) peanuts are available in nut shops, health food stores and occasionally in supermarkets.
